Dear Sir:

Enclosed please find a visa application and a letter of invitation from
the Academy of Sciences of the USSR to be their guest at the IVth
International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence to be held in
Tblisi, on September 3-8, 1975.

In addition, I have received a
personal invitation to attend a symposium on Mathematical Theory of
Computation in Akademgorodok from September 10-13.  After this, I would
like to return home by way of Japan, so it would be most convenient if
the visa could extend to September 20 which would give me time for the
Akademgorodok symposium and to leave on the boat departing from
Nakhodka to Yokohama.
